România prelungeşte un acord cu Republica Moldova privind controlul coordonat la vama Galaţi-Giurgiuleşti
The Romanian government has approved a memorandum extending the validity of a border control agreement with Moldova for one year. This extension, valid from August 24, 2026, to August 24, 2027, pertains to the coordinated control at the Galați-Giurgiulești border crossing. The decision is based on a joint evaluation of the control system's results by the border and customs authorities of both countries. Maintaining this coordinated control will facilitate infrastructure investments with EU funding and aims to implement bidirectional control in the future, aligning with EU standards and supporting Moldova's EU accession process.
