Romania has taken command of the EU training mission in the Central African Republic for the fourth consecutive year. Brigadier General Irinel Apostolescu assumed command from Brigadier General Claudiu-Mădălin Tamaș during a ceremony in Bangui. This mission, operational since 2016, aims to enhance the capabilities of the Central African Armed Forces through strategic advice and military training. The continuity of Romania's leadership reflects its commitment to supporting the Central African Republic and strengthening defense capacities. The mission involves military personnel from nine participating countries, including EU member states and partners.
