România pregătește proiecte eoliene offshore de 11,5 GW la Marea Neagră

Romania aims to be the first Black Sea country to develop offshore wind farms, targeting an installed capacity of 11.5 GW. The Ministry of Energy estimates the economic impact could reach 27 billion euros. Greek energy companies are likely to participate in these projects. The Black Sea region has significant wind potential, with a World Bank report indicating 76 GW capacity. The government has outlined three development phases for offshore wind parks, with the first phase targeting 3.1 GW by 2035. Investments in the energy sector are expected to create jobs and boost the economy, but infrastructure upgrades are also necessary.
