România poate conecta 17% din capacitatea planificată de energie regenerabilă prin centralele sale hidroelectrice, evitând blocajele din rețea

Ember's report indicates that 18% of planned wind and solar energy capacity in key EU hydro markets can be integrated without additional grid capacity. This is achievable by hybridizing existing hydro plants with wind and solar projects. Romania has significant potential, with 17.3% capacity integration possible. The approach allows for short-term solutions to network constraints and reduces infrastructure costs. The report highlights that existing hydro assets can accommodate 25 GW of new renewable capacity across seven countries, enhancing efficiency and meeting EU clean electrification goals. Hybrid projects can optimize energy production and storage, improving overall grid stability.
