România, pe minus cu 82 de milioane de euro pe zi. La fiecare 100 de euro din exporturi, 14,5 merg la plata datoriei externe pe termen lung
In the first eight months of 2026, Romania's external payments exceeded its receipts by nearly 20 billion euros, averaging 82 million euros daily. The country faces a growing deficit, primarily due to a trade imbalance where imports significantly outpace exports. Foreign investments have decreased sharply, covering only a fraction of the deficit, while external debt has risen to 238 billion euros. The structure of this debt is concerning, with short-term liabilities increasing. Despite these challenges, Romania's reserves can still cover almost six months of imports, and the proportion of export earnings used for long-term debt repayment has slightly improved.
