Romania ranks third in the EU for the increase in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices over the past five years, with a rise of 53%. The average increase across the EU is 34%, while Turkey leads with a staggering 752% increase. Hungary and Bulgaria follow Romania, with price hikes of 57% and 54%, respectively. In contrast, Greece has seen a lower increase of 32%, and Switzerland only 5%. The minimum wage has also risen significantly in Turkey, Serbia, and Montenegro, while Romania and Bulgaria have seen increases of 88% and 87%.
