România păstrează în funcțiune Turceni 5 după 31 august, termenul din PNRR: „Produce mai multă valoare decât orice penalități”

The Turceni 5 energy group will continue operating beyond August 31, despite Romania's commitment to close it under the PNRR. Energy Ministry Secretary Sorin Elisei emphasized that maintaining production is currently more critical than potential penalties. Turceni 5 was reconnected to the National Energy System alongside Rovinari 4, both operating at maximum capacity. Elisei noted that the decision to keep Turceni 5 active is due to the current energy demands and the need for caution in the upcoming months. He also mentioned ongoing discussions with Bulgaria regarding energy supply and the importance of diversifying energy sources for the future.
