This initiative is part of the preparations for the upcoming COP31 climate conference in Antalya. Turkey is also ramping up deep-sea drilling operations to strengthen its energy hub status. The project will facilitate electricity transfer from Azerbaijan to Turkey and create alternative routes to Europe, which could alleviate high energy prices in Romania. However, Romania's absence from these developments raises concerns about its isolation from emerging energy networks and economic collaborations in the region.
