România lipsește pentru al patrulea an din Shanghai Ranking
Romania is absent from the 2026 Academic Ranking of World Universities for the fourth consecutive year, with no universities in the top 1,000. The last Romanian institution to appear was Babeș-Bolyai University, which dropped out in 2023. This absence highlights Romania's challenges in academic performance, particularly in research. In contrast, 22 universities from Central and Eastern Europe are included in the ranking, with Poland leading with seven institutions. The ranking emphasizes academic quality and research performance, with the top positions dominated by US and UK universities.
