România intră în programul UE pentru dezvoltarea regiunilor de la granița estică / Pîslaru: Beneficiarele sunt regiunile cele mai expuse consecințelor războiului din Ucraina

Romania has officially joined the EU initiative "Catching-up Regions" to support development in its eastern border regions. The European Commission and the World Bank will send experts to identify development barriers and solutions. Interim Minister Dragoș Pîslaru emphasized the need for local solutions rather than top-down strategies. This program aims to assist the North-West, North-East, and South-East regions, which are most affected by the Ukraine war. Pîslaru highlighted the importance of technical assistance to effectively utilize EU funds and expressed gratitude for the support from the European Commission.
