România, în top 10 pentru nomazii digitali
Romania ranks among the top 10 European destinations for digital nomads but lacks a coherent strategy to attract and leverage mobile talent, according to an EY Romania analysis. Competitive costs, connectivity, and access to the European market are advantages, yet insufficient to establish Romania as a relevant hub for remote professionals. The analysis highlights that Romania should view digital nomads as a source of skills and international connections, suggesting that a digital nomad visa could attract professionals in technology and AI. Despite its potential, Romania has one of the lowest remote work rates in the EU, with only 1.3% of employees working from home regularly. Key cities like Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca have the potential to attract international professionals, but improvements in public services and stronger connections to the local economy are needed.
