The trend shows a growing number of skilled professionals, particularly in healthcare, emigrating for better opportunities. Between 2014 and 2024, 364,000 children of Romanian parents were born abroad, raising concerns about their connection to Romania. Despite a recent positive migratory balance, the challenge remains to retain returning citizens. The Alliance for Common Good proposes measures to track migration patterns and improve conditions for skilled workers to stay in Romania.
