România, în al treilea trimestru consecutiv de declin economic. PIB-ul a scăzut cu 2% în trimestrul II

Romania's economy has experienced a decline for three consecutive quarters, with a 2% drop in GDP in Q2 2026 compared to the same period last year. The National Institute of Statistics reported stagnation in Q2 2026 compared to Q1, but a decrease of 0.4% year-on-year. The first half of 2026 saw an overall GDP decline of 0.8% compared to the first half of 2025. Adjusted seasonal data indicates a persistent economic weakness, with revisions to previous GDP figures reflecting a slight decrease rather than stagnation. The next provisional GDP estimate will be released on September 7, 2026.
