Despite current stable household bills, he warned that future price pressures are likely due to supplier losses. Additionally, Romania is importing energy from Ukraine amid reduced domestic production, with measures announced to limit electricity consumption, particularly among industrial users, due to potential nuclear reactor shutdowns caused by low Danube water levels.
