România exportă mașini și importă mâncare. Radiografia unui dezechilibru vechi

In July 2026, Romania's exports reached 9.24 billion euros while imports totaled 12 billion euros, resulting in a trade deficit of 2.8 billion euros. From January to July 2026, exports amounted to 58.26 billion euros and imports to 77.54 billion euros, leading to a cumulative deficit of 19.27 billion euros, slightly lower than the previous year. The food sector shows a significant imbalance, with exports around 4.5 billion euros and imports nearly 7 billion euros, indicating a reliance on imported food. Romania's economy remains closely tied to the EU, with industrial products, particularly vehicles and machinery, dominating exports. However, the persistent trade deficit highlights a dependency on imports, particularly in the chemical sector, where imports far exceed exports.
