The delegation is in Bucharest for a periodic assessment of Romania's economic and fiscal developments. Bolojan highlighted a significant decrease in the budget deficit in the first seven months of 2026 compared to the previous year. He emphasized the importance of efficient public spending and reforms in state-owned companies to ensure continued economic growth and credibility with investors.
