Romania achieved significant success at the European Rowing Championships in Varese, winning four medals including two golds and setting a new European record. Adriana Adam and Simona Radiș secured gold in the women's double sculls with a record time, while the men's double sculls team also claimed gold. The men's four sculls team earned silver, and the women's four sculls team took bronze. Several other Romanian crews narrowly missed podium finishes.
