România cere sprijin UE pentru turismul din regiunile de frontieră. Darău: „Solidaritatea trebuie să însemne și investiții”
Romania and six other EU countries have requested the European Commission to support tourism in border regions affected by geopolitical tensions. The interim Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, emphasized the need for solidarity through investments in these areas. The countries seek to include specific measures in the upcoming European sustainable tourism strategy, such as support for small and medium enterprises, better access to financing, and initiatives to attract tourists and investors. Darău highlighted the negative impact of the nearby war on local tourism businesses, urging that the challenges faced by eastern border regions be reflected in the future EU budget.
