The Agriculture Minister highlighted the impact of drought, rising feed costs, and strict sanitary restrictions on farmers. The five countries are advocating for flexible application of restrictions, a thorough analysis of vaccination roles, and improved movement of healthy animals within the EU. They also seek adjustments to animal health regulations based on the epidemiological situation and adequate financial support for affected farmers. The resumption of sheep exports may occur by the end of the year, contingent on a national vaccination campaign.
