Eurostat reports significant annual growth in construction, while the EU overall saw a decline in building construction. In August 2026, Romania also experienced a 7.2% increase from July 2026. The National Institute of Statistics confirms these findings, showing a 40.5% rise in construction volume year-on-year. Adjusted figures also indicate growth, with a 15.4% increase in the first eight months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.
