România, campioană europeană la scumpirea locuințelor. Cât din salariu ajunge la bancă pentru un apartament
Romania has seen a 14.4% increase in housing prices in 2025, the highest in Europe. Despite being among the cheapest markets, buying an apartment requires significant financial effort. In Bucharest, mortgage payments for a two-room apartment consume 55% of the average net salary. The average price per square meter reached €1,917, with Cluj-Napoca being the most expensive city at €3,137 per square meter. The rise in prices is attributed to limited supply and regulatory challenges. Rent prices are also high, with Bucharest averaging €11.2 per square meter. Overall, the housing market reflects substantial growth since 2020, with prices increasing by approximately 69%.
