România are jumătate din fermele de lapte ale UE, dar o cantitate mică ajunge în fabrici. De ce fermierii nu își valorifică producția

Romania produces 4.4 million tons of raw milk annually but faces challenges in cheese sales due to drought and low prices. Despite having over half of the EU's dairy farms, it only holds 5% of the EU's dairy cows, leading to low productivity. Small producers are particularly affected, with low prices not covering costs. Drought has reduced feed availability, further decreasing milk production. Only a third of collected milk is processed industrially, placing Romania 17th in the EU for milk collection.
