In August, the annual inflation rate in the EU rose to 3.2%, while Romania's inflation decreased to 6.3%. Despite this drop, Romania still has the highest inflation rate in the EU. Other countries with lower inflation rates include Sweden, Estonia, and the Czech Republic. The inflation rate in the Eurozone also increased to 3.2%. The National Bank of Romania has revised its inflation forecast for the end of 2026 to 6.1%.
