România are cea mai mare creștere a preţurilor la carburanți din UE, dar ANPC anunță controale de-abia pentru octombrie
The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) will monitor fuel prices and markups due to rising costs despite a tax reduction. This analysis will occur from October 7 to 31, requiring companies to report their markups monthly. Violations may lead to fines between 100,000 and 500,000 lei. Former Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan has called for urgent government intervention to prevent price speculation, emphasizing that the benefits of tax reductions should reach consumers. Romania has seen the highest fuel price increases in the EU, with a 16.9% rise in July 2026 compared to the previous year.
