He highlighted the need for digitalization and AI-based monitoring systems to improve efficiency. Pistol also pointed out the rising maintenance costs associated with the expanding network and the critical shortage of personnel, with nearly 10% of positions unfilled. He called for readiness for winter operations and urged for a proactive approach to infrastructure management, especially in the current geopolitical context.
