Romania's minimum wage remains among the lowest in the EU, with only Bulgaria and Latvia having lower rates. As of July, the minimum wage is 825 euros, while the highest in the EU exceeds 2,000 euros, led by Luxembourg. Despite this, Romania has seen one of the highest annual growth rates for minimum wage in the EU, at 11.6%. The minimum wage increased to 4,325 lei in July, reflecting a 6.8% rise from the previous level. The government has set this amount to remain unchanged until July 2026.
