România ar putea să primească până pe 24 octombrie 1,1 milioane de doze de vaccin pentru ovine și caprine, a anunțat Comisia Europeană - Economica.net

Romania is set to receive 1.1 million doses of vaccines against sheep and goat pox and peste des petits ruminants on October 24, 2026, following the activation of EU vaccine banks by the European Commission. The vaccines include 800,000 doses for sheep and goat pox and 300,000 for peste des petits ruminants. The request for these vaccines was made by Romanian authorities on September 21, 2026, and after clarifications were provided, the Commission activated the vaccine banks on October 8, 2026. The vaccines are intended for emergency vaccination campaigns, not for comprehensive vaccination efforts. The Romanian government will cover the vaccination costs for farmers, and the resumption of sheep exports is crucial for the sector, especially after the EU extended export bans due to disease outbreaks.
