România ar putea relua exporturile de ovine către Libia

The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) has initiated discussions to resume sheep exports to Libya, halted due to a viral outbreak. ANSVSA representatives met with Libyan officials during their visit to Romania to assess the necessary sanitary and technical conditions for restarting live animal exports. The two parties reviewed measures to prevent the spread of outbreaks and ensure safe transport. The Libyan delegation will inspect Romanian farms and facilities to verify compliance with health standards. In the past, exports were suspended due to political instability, but Romania earned $14.3 million from sheep sales in 2024 after resuming exports.
