România ar putea păstra ratingul BBB- de la S&P

Flavius Valentin Jakubowicz suggests that Romania may retain its BBB- sovereign rating from S&P, despite a negative outlook. The country faces political uncertainty and aims to reduce its budget deficit. Jakubowicz emphasizes that maintaining the rating does not imply that public finance issues are resolved, as risks remain. He stresses the need for a fully empowered government to adopt a credible budget for 2027. The current political and fiscal risks are already reflected in financial markets, with the leu at a historic low and high yields on government bonds. He believes the National Bank of Romania should keep the key interest rate at 6.50% due to these risks.
