The Romanian Investment and Development Bank (BID) has signed an agreement to participate in the Three Seas Initiative's Fund of Funds for Infrastructure, committing €50 million. This fund, managed by the European Investment Fund (EIF), aims to finance strategic infrastructure projects in EU countries between the Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas. Romania and Poland are the largest national contributors, each committing €50 million. The fund seeks to mobilize at least €2 billion for energy, digital infrastructure, and social projects. BID's involvement enhances its role as an institutional investor in regional projects, aiming to attract private capital alongside public investments.
