România a trimis alertă timpurie Comisiei Europene și statelor membre din cauza situației dificile din energie - Economica.net

The Ministry of Energy issued an early warning to the European Commission regarding low water levels in the Danube affecting the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. Unit 1 has already been shut down, and there is a risk of Unit 2 becoming unavailable. The alert will remain until water levels allow safe operation, projected no earlier than August 15, 2026. Currently, there is no negative impact on the domestic electricity market, but a significant increase in electricity consumption is anticipated. The extremely low flow of the Danube is nearing critical levels for safe cooling operations at the plant.
