Romania has received approximately €2.5 billion as the first tranche of funding through the European SAFE instrument, aimed at enhancing national defense and infrastructure. The total funding amounts to nearly €17 billion, with significant allocations for dual-use infrastructure projects, including highways A7 and A8. The interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, emphasized the importance of transparency and rapid implementation of these funds to ensure economic stability and national security.
