Romania has received approximately 2.5 billion euros from the European SAFE program, aimed at enhancing defense, national industry, and strategic infrastructure, including highways A7 and A8. The total funding allocated to Romania through SAFE is nearly 17 billion euros. The Minister of Finance emphasized the importance of using these funds to generate local production and job creation. A significant portion, around 4.2 billion euros, is designated for dual-use infrastructure projects, which will improve connectivity in the Moldova region and support military mobility. Transparency in fund allocation and project status is also a priority.
