România a înregistrat cea mai mare scumpire a energiei electrice pentru consumatori din UE

Romania has experienced the highest increase in electricity prices for households in the EU, with a 51.9% rise in the first half of 2026 compared to the previous year. In contrast, the average price in the EU decreased by 1.6%. Romania also ranks first in electricity prices relative to purchasing power. While most EU countries saw stable or declining prices, Romanian households faced the steepest annual increase. The average electricity price in Romania reached 0.2836 euro/kWh, close to the EU average, but the purchasing power standard indicates that electricity is significantly more expensive for Romanian consumers. For non-household consumers, electricity prices in the EU fell by 5.4%.
