România a emis o alertă în UE pentru seceta din țară. Sateliții ESA arată dezastrul de pe Dunăre
The Romanian Ministry of Energy has issued an early warning to the European Commission regarding severe hydrological drought affecting the Danube River. This alert will remain until the water levels allow safe operation of Unit 2 at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, at least until August 15. Currently, there is no negative impact on the domestic electricity market, but increased consumption is expected. The Ministry has prepared a risk management plan in accordance with EU regulations, highlighting factors like low water levels and heatwaves that threaten the energy system. Satellite images show significant drought effects on the Danube, which has reached a historic low of 1,400 m³/s.
