Romania has officially submitted its fifth payment request from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, totaling 2.84 billion euros. This request includes 75 targets and milestones, with a net value of 1.65 billion euros in non-repayable European funds. The absorption rate of grants has reached 78%, a significant increase from 47% a year ago. The sixth payment request is expected to include 2.58 billion euros in grants and 1.76 billion euros in loans. Minister Dragoș Pîslaru addressed criticisms regarding the implementation pace of the PNRR.
