Romania has exceeded its afforestation target set by the PNRR, planting over 20,700 hectares. Dolj leads with more than 3,100 hectares, followed by Constanta and Galati. The Ministry of Environment reports that 20,716 hectares have been verified, surpassing the 18,000-hectare goal. Additionally, 13 hectares of urban forests were established, and 109 nurseries were completed, exceeding the target of 90. Investments focused on creating new forests and reforesting areas affected by disasters, with a total allocation of approximately 307 million euros for afforestation efforts.
