Romania has exceeded its PNRR target for recycling facilities, completing 12 plants instead of the planned 9. These investments will enhance waste recycling capabilities and reduce landfill waste. Minister Diana Buzoianu emphasized the need for further development in recycling infrastructure and public awareness. The new facilities can process various waste types, including plastics and metals, and are part of a broader investment strategy across multiple counties. The projects are funded through PNRR and the Environmental Fund, totaling hundreds of millions of lei.
