România a cumpărat remorchere inutile când apa scade pe Dunăre. Patru funcționari, trimiși în judecată

Four public officials from the Lower Danube River Administration have been indicted for fraud related to the purchase of two unnecessary tugboats funded by the EU. The tugboats, intended for low water navigation, were delivered with a draft exceeding contract limits, limiting their usability. The procurement process favored a single company due to specific maritime requirements, leading to an estimated EU budget loss of around 7 million euros. If convicted, the officials face prison sentences ranging from three to ten and a half years.
