He emphasizes that despite significant investments in infrastructure, the shortage of staff is the primary issue affecting newborn survival. Rogobete criticizes recent government cuts that have exacerbated this problem, stating that without adequate medical professionals, even the best facilities cannot function effectively. He highlights that over 36 maternity units have received major investments, but the ongoing human resource crisis continues to impact infant mortality rates.
