The construction orders for the Regional Oncology Institute in Timișoara and the new building of the Giurgiu County Emergency Hospital have been signed, with funding from the European Health Program 2021-2027. The Timișoara institute will have 250 beds and an estimated budget of 1.7 billion lei, while the Giurgiu hospital will feature 122 beds with a budget of approximately 258.5 million lei. Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete assured that nine hospital projects transferred from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) will continue under the Health Program, ensuring necessary funding for their completion.
