He suggested that if the nomination fails to gain trust, early elections should be considered. Sighiartău noted the lack of constructive dialogue between PNL and PSD, stating that constitutional solutions are necessary to overcome the political deadlock. He also commented on the perceived overestimation of AUR in polls and the fear of PSD regarding early elections. Romania has been in a political crisis for two months following the withdrawal of support for the government led by Ilie Bolojan.
