RO Wallet, portofelul digital al României, va fi lansat în 2027

Starting in 2027, Romanians will be able to use RO Wallet, a digital identity wallet developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This application will allow users to store official documents on their phones, verify their identity, and sign electronically. The rollout will begin with holders of electronic identity cards, with a significant interest shown in the application based on a recent survey. Most respondents expressed a desire for secure data management and the ability to control their information sharing. The project aligns with the European eIDAS 2 regulation and aims to facilitate identity verification both online and offline across the EU.
