The phased public launch will begin with holders of electronic identity cards. A recent survey indicated that 85% of respondents are likely to use the app, with the identity card being the most desired document to store. The app aims to facilitate identity verification in various situations, including traffic checks and interactions with public institutions. Data protection is a key concern, with many users wanting control over their information. RO Wallet is designed to comply with the EU eIDAS 2 regulation and will be showcased at an upcoming European event.
