Simon’s Burger, Hungary's largest burger chain, is opening its first restaurant in Romania, offering free cheeseburgers to the first 1,000 customers. The flagship location in Cluj-Napoca will open on September 12, with a chance for one of the first 20 customers to win a one-year burger voucher. The chain, founded by Tóth Simon, has expanded internationally and aims to establish 25 locations in Romania. The initial investment for the restaurant was €25,000, and the company has seen significant growth, reaching €20 million in revenue by 2025. The opening is expected to attract large crowds, similar to previous launches in Hungary.
