Risc major în mediul privat: Peste 4.700 de companii și PFA, în incapacitate de plată, în 2026 • Newsweek România
In the first eight months of 2026, 4,782 companies and authorized individuals entered insolvency, marking a 4.85% increase from 2025. The rise in insolvencies is attributed to rising credit costs and inflation, which are heavily impacting small businesses. Bucharest recorded the highest number of insolvencies at 861, while Bihor, Cluj, Ilfov, and Timiș followed. The retail sector saw the most insolvencies, with a significant increase compared to the previous year. August alone saw 357 new insolvencies, with the majority occurring in Bucharest and Bihor.
