Rezultate PNRR: Rata preliminară de absorbție a granturilor și a împrumuturilor pentru România 2021-2026 - StartupCafe

The Ministry of Investments and European Projects (MIPE) released preliminary data on Romania's absorption rate of European funds under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for 2021-2026. The absorption rate is estimated at over 90% for grants and over 95% for loans. Romania's total allocation under the PNRR is 20.11 billion EUR, with 13.57 billion EUR in grants and 6.54 billion EUR in loans. The initial allocation was 29.18 billion EUR but was reduced by about 9 billion EUR due to unmet reform commitments. Final results will be available after submitting payment request no. 6 to the European Commission, with a deadline for reporting set for September 15, 2026. MIPE emphasizes that the dashboard reflects the implementation status based on reports from reform coordinators for the first semester of 2026. Currently, efforts are focused on finalizing administrative procedures for payment requests 5 and 6, with 20 coordinators involved in the PNRR implementation.
