As of September 30, 2026, Romania's foreign exchange reserves decreased to €60.060 billion, down from €64.865 billion in August. The month saw inflows of €3.302 billion, mainly from minimum currency reserves and government account funding. However, outflows totaled €8.107 billion, including public debt payments and other expenses. The gold reserves remained stable at 103.6 tons, valued at €12.280 billion. Overall international reserves, including gold, were €72.340 billion, down from €77.627 billion the previous month. Upcoming public debt payments in October are approximately €350 million.
