The National Bank of Poland has reported its gold reserves have reached 640.2 tons, making it the tenth largest holder globally. Poland surpassed the European Central Bank, which holds 506 tons. The Polish central bank aims to acquire a total of 700 tons of gold, with plans for further repatriation of gold from London. Governor Adam Glapinski highlighted the importance of these reserves for financial stability and presented this initiative at the G20 summit. Poland's GDP has surpassed $1 trillion, reinforcing its status as a strong emerging economy. A new state-of-the-art vault is under construction to house the gold reserves.
