The Indonesian government plans to close over 750 public companies by year-end, as announced by President Prabowo Subianto, who suggested a special tribunal for unproductive boards. Indonesia has identified 1,074 public companies, far exceeding initial estimates. So far, 290 companies have been shut down, with a goal to retain only those that add value to the population. This restructuring aims to save approximately 70 trillion rupiah, significantly reducing operational costs.
